Does your horse’s mane and/or tail have knots in it? Ugh! I know what you’re feeling.
It’s easy to get frustrated when trying to brush out a tangled mess in your horse’s tail. But don’t be tempted to pull and yank. Not only will your horse not appreciate it, but it will cause the tail hair to break off and look ugly.
I’ve found that starting at the bottom and carefully working my way up (little sections at a time) gets the best results.
I use Cowboy Magic detangler when the knots are especially tough. I’ve also found that if I use a little Cowboy Magic every day or every other day (A small amount goes a long way, so one bottle lasts me a long time), it keeps my horse’s mane and tail from getting badly knotted in the first place.
